Ian is a seasoned professional in the online payment security space and real estate investor who has two apartments which represent 46 units. After investing in the stock market for the past 12 years, no matter what he learned or tactics he tried, there was never truly a way to have control over the stock price. Any event within the US or outside could impact the stock market — you really had to buy with a long-term hold mindset.

He has also invested in Roth IRAs, mutual funds, and 401(k)s, which are great vehicles for retirement savings, but they are largely set-and-forget, yielding an estimated 5–7% annual return. So he made the switch into apartment buildings for several reasons: to hold a physical asset; to have more control of his investments, which allows forcing appreciation by increasing income and decreasing expenses; and to find and buy apartments in high employment, income, and population growth areas in order to reduce risk.

Rod Khleif is a passionate real estate investor who has personally owned and managed over 2,000 apartments and homes. As an accomplished entrepreneur, Rod has built several successful multi-million dollar businesses.
